Small bird with long tail and short, thin bill; brown back; spots on white breast
Tall shrub thickets, forest openings and edges, old conifer or broadleaf forests
Beetles, ants, moth and butterfly larvae, flies, treehoppers, millipedes, snails, berries
Hawks, falcons, owls; red squirrels prey on eggs.
Thrush habitat is being rapidly destroyed; we are in danger of losing these fine songsters from forests in the eastern United States.
